Robert Paul Henry

Robert Paul Henry, 79, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in WV. He was born October 28, 1944 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Paul and Hazel M. (Miller) Henry. He graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1962 during which he attended Votech for carpentry. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He worked and retired in 2004 from People’s Natural Gas after 20+ years of service. He began as a meter reader and worked his way up to Investigator for on-site gas leaks. After retirement, he opened and operated RH Construction for several years. Robert was a member and managed the VFW in Wyano, PA for several years. He also was Union Secretary for 15 years at the gas company. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed taking photographs and was an animal lover. He was a very kind and generous man, was a great story teller, very social and a lot of fun to be around. He is preceded in death by both parents and loving wife of 30+ years, Diane (Berghammer) Henry. He is survived by son, Robert (Frederica A.) Henry Jr. of Greensburg, PA; daughters, Roxanne E. Jacobs of Greensburg, PA, Bobbie Henry of Penn Boro., PA, Kathy (Kevin) McCormick of Penn Boro., PA; sisters, Linda (Larry) Sanner of Arona, PA and Mary Ann (Bill) Mitrisin of Everson, PA and grandchildren, Sydney, Jenna, Robert Paul Henry III, Addison and Scott. Friends will be received from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm with Pastor John Harmon officiating and full Military Honors with the Armbrust Veterans accorded. Interment will be private.
