John W. Keck, 85, of Greensburg, PA, formerly of West Newton, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born May 18, 1938 in West Newton, PA. Son of the late Walter and Anna V. (Hlastan) Keck. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Vietnam War from 1961-1967. John worked and retired from Palmer’s in West Newton, PA after 15+ years of service. After retirement, he worked at Bob’s Radiator with his best friend for several years. He was a member of Sewickley Grange and the West Newton VFW Post 7812. As well as, an active member of the Sewickley United Presbyterian Church. He was a very patient and quiet man who enjoyed listening to old country music. In his younger years, he enjoyed vacationing in the mountains with his family and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents; loving wife, Catherine L. (Behanna) Keck, daughter, Tammy Greenawalt and sisters, Ruth Stubbs, Rose Schenker, Wilma Appleton and Irene Jourdain. He is survived by granddaughters, Brittney L. (Jeffrey Northrup) Greenawalt of Port Orange, FL and Arlie Greenawalt of Orlando, FL; great granddaughters, Lexi L. Anderson, Elsie M. Northrup, Skylar K. Northrup, Tammy M. Jenkins and Samasia Barron and numerous nieces and nephews. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA in charge of arrangements – Ronald A.
